National Cancer Institure's CURE (Continuing Umbrella Research Experiences) Lifetime Achievement Honorees Dr. Villalona-Calero, Dr. Robert A Winn (UIC), Dr. Khaled, Dr. Penichet and Dr. Sotomayor.

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Allergy hosted students from the Dept. of Bioengineering’s Clinical Immersion Program for 6 weeks this summer. The students were a combination of undergraduate bioengineering and Innovation Medicine M2 medical students who rotated through the various clinical operations of the Division. They focused on two projects during their time: 1) interventions to reduce delirium in MICU patients; 2) interventions to improve inhaler education and compliance in pulmonary outpatients.
