Interested in making some extra spending money for the holidays? I'm looking for someone over the weekend - very flexible schedule - to run some errands for me (just don't get around like I used to) and I'm willing to pay. Errands like taking donations to Goodwill (involves some heavy lifting of boxes of books, baby furniture), to the cleaners, the post office, and to our storage unit to bring out the Christmas stuff. Not a full days' work - but willing to pay - must have a car, a mask, and like Christmas music, cuz in my house that's all you gonna hear. If anyone is interested or can vouch for a family member who might be interested - please let me know. Can be done Sat or Sun or even Monday. All errands run would be within the city limits.
It's all about the Blue & White Family!!! This holiday season, Zetas and Sigmas are tagging up all throughout the Chicagoland and surrounding suburbs. Our brothers of the Upsilon Sigma Chapter rock! Thanks so much for making your sisters of the royal blue and white smile this week. It means alot when our brothers take time to acknowledge us. Well, my thoughts on why TPZ is so successful, is we truly believe in "Teamwork makes the dream work". One person cannot do everything. And with all the work we do, it takes an army. LOL We love rolling up our sleeves and getting in the community and making a difference. Our founding principles call for us to be finer, sisterly, give back with service and provide scholarship to those in need. And we try to do just that. TPZ embodies all of our founding principles and we believe we are making our founders proud.
Thanks again!💙

Today was so rewarding as Upsilon Sigma sponsored a Spelling Bee at its adopted school, Wendell Green Elementary. The students did an amazing job of preparing as well as competing. The winner of the Spelling Bee was a fourth grader, Yizrakhyah Wynn. Thank you to the students, staff as well as the principal, our own Brother Tyrone Dowdell.

It's a Blue Monday and ironically on this Presidents' Day, we also celebrate our Sigma Brother, the late Congressman John Lewis, on what would have been his 82nd birthday. This civil rights leader has been fighting since the 60s for equality especially the right to vote. Even until his death and now today, we're still fighting for the right to vote. Please join the men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and its SigmaPAC1914 as we raise funds to ensure that all eligible Americans can participate in the voting process. Feel free to give at Bro. Lewis is counting on us to carry on his legacy of protecting the ballot boxes.

If you're in search of Black Owned Businesses, in the Chicago area, to support this month, here is a handy directory.

Kirk Franklin - "Lift Every Voice And Sing" with Lyrics

It's a Blue Monday and we're preparing to celebrate another Black History Month. It was James Weldon Johnson who penned this forever anthem for all African Americans. Oh, by the way, Brother Johnson is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Please ensure that these words will never die by teaching our youth of our rich history. Now let us march on 'til victory is won! #
