Landowska Harspichord Society of Ilinois, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization made to honor the great Wanda Landowska.
Provides venues for musicians, master classes; promotes appreciation of chamber music; exposes audiences to baroque-era instruments. The idea behind funding the Landowska Harpsichord Society of Illinois is to honor great Polish-French-American harpsichordist Wanda Landowska, one of the most devoted pioneers in the revival of harpsichord in the early 20th century. We are proud to announce that our Vice President of LHS, Joanna Turska, has been honored with the 'Educator of the Year' award by the Council of Educators in Polonia and Northeastern Illinois University. Joanna has made significant contributions to the Polish-American Community and to NIU and we would like to invite you to celebrate Joanna's achievments at the 17th Annual Heritage Celebration event on Friday, November 14 at 6:30 PM to 9 PM at the Student Union, Alumni Hall at Northeastern University. The event is free, but RSVPs are required. Congratulations Joanna!!
