LEARN scholars experienced tremendous success through our continued partnership with Wilmot Ski Resort, where scholars had the opportunity to learn and grow through our Annual Ski Program. This year’s program brought together six campuses with 34 scholars from Learn Romano Butler, Learn Hunter Perkins, Learn Excel, Learn 7, Learn Campbell, and Learn 6 creating a dynamic and engaging experience for all involved. Now in its 4th successful year, the program concluded with a celebratory awards ceremony recognizing scholar participation, growth, and achievement. Many scholars walked away with strengthened skills and a newfound passion for skiing, making this year’s program another memorable milestone for LEARN.

We’re proud to provide diverse opportunities that support the development of the whole child! During the school day, 50 LEARN Excel scholars and 24 LEARN 7 scholars are building essential swim skills and confidence. After school, 32 LEARN Campbell scholars are continuing their learning and making the most of every moment in the pool.

Worried about time? The entire donation process at the LEARN Hunter Perkins drive takes about an hour, but the actual blood draw is only 8-10 minutes. The LEARN 8 Cheer Team has once again made our community proud! For the fifth time competing at the Xtreme Spirit Cheerleading Nationals, our scholars captured their fourth consecutive national title—and with their highest scores ever at the competition. This incredible achievement caps off a truly phenomenal cheer season. Throughout the year, the team demonstrated dedication, discipline, and heart. They earned 1st place at the Christ the King Competition in December and secured 3rd place at the Chicago Public Schools Regional Cheer Competition, proving their ability to compete at the highest levels. Their hard work even earned them a spotlight on Good Day Chicago, where they proudly represented the LEARN 8 community.
