This tournament is called the 2025 National Junior & Youth Golden Gloves of America which took place in EAST RIDGE, TN between July 10-July 13, 2025. It was a 4-day weekend full of adrenaline and excitement for all boxers. This tournament had hundreds of boxers from across the U.S. Teenagers and younger children from ages of 8-18 are given an opportunity to show their boxing skills and fight for an opportunity to obtain a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BELT OF THEIR WEIGHT DIVISION ( 110 pounds). KP’s very own Angie competed in this! Angie was able to demonstrate sharp boxing skills and determination throughout. Angie was very determined to bring her FIRST Championship belt to Chicago. Congratulations !!!

On Wednesday, 9/3 we are hosting “Family Night” at KP!
The event will take place from 2:15 - 3:45 pm on September 3rd. Our goal with this event is to provide fun opportunities for parents to bond with their students (and of course our teachers and staff at KP) while also showcasing some of our creative talents as an arts integrated school.

We will have a total of FIVE activities for families and students to participate in: Mystery Bag Art with Ms. Kachel, Paint & Sip with Ms. Bonilla, Theater with Mr. Powers, Vision Boards with Ms. Boerema, and Percussion Circle with Mr. Tamayo and Mr. Jacoby.

In addition to these sessions, our first floor hallway will be turned into an Information Fair for clubs, sports, tutoring, JROTC, etc. 💛El miércoles 3 de septiembre celebraremos la “Noche Familiar” en KP. El evento se llevará a cabo de 14:15 a 15:45 h. Nuestro objetivo es brindar oportunidades divertidas para que los padres se relacionen con sus alumnos (y, por supuesto, con nuestros profesores y personal de KP), a la vez que mostramos algunos de nuestros talentos creativos como escuela con integración artística. Tendremos un total de CINCO actividades para que las familias y los alumnos participen: Arte con la Bolsa Misteriosa con la Sra. Kachel, Pintura y Bebida con la Sra. Bonilla, Teatro con el Sr. Powers, Tableros de Visión con la Sra. Boerema y Círculo de Percusión con el Sr. Tamayo y el Sr. Jacoby. Además de estas sesiones, el pasillo del primer piso se convertirá en una Feria de Información para clubes, deportes, tutorías, JROTC, etc. ¡NOS VEMOS EL MIÉRCOLES!
