Pill Hill Development Center has been educating children 2 through 12 years of age in Chicago for twenty -four years. Our convenient location attracts families from the south suburbs, east to Lake Michigan, west of the Dan Ryan expressway and north to Hyde Park. Aside from Pill Hill's dedicated, stable, nurturing staff, an added attraction is our preschool magnet curriculum. Our preschoolers enter

their next educational environment with academic and social confidence. Our mission is to develop the whole child and meet the cognitive, social, physical and emotional needs on a daily basis. Pill Hill Development Center provides a safe, sanitized environment that promotes learning and enhances the exploratory process. Through age-appropriate materials and developmentally appropriate practices, children navigate their way throughout the seven interest areas each classroom offers. A balanced blend of self selected and instructor directed activities are provided daily. Our co-curriculum classes include Spanish, Japanese, computer classes, etiquette classes and Pre-Fit (preschool gym). Field trips are scheduled monthly during our academic months, (September through May) and daily during the summer months. It is our belief that the educational process is not just confined to the classroom setting. Exposure, interactivity and incorporating the environment into the learning process is also an essential component that augments learning and makes it fun! Our formula is experience + exposure = education. Hot, home cooked meals are also another high point that keeps kids and parents delighted about the center. Our dietician takes pride in serving two warm meals and nutritious snacks daily. Breakfast is served each morning and all meals are eaten family style to promote proper table etiquette.
