Is your state licensed? Residents of licensed states can rest assured those calling themselves NDs:
✔️Met a set of educational standards, including graduation from a 4-year accredited program recognized by the US department of Education.
✔️ Took (and passed!) the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Exam (NPLEX).
✔️ Passed jurisprudence examinations and meet other requirements for regulated professions, including background checks and continuing education .
Look for “ND” credentials listed after a provider’s name. Some Naturopathic Doctors may refer to themselves as naturopaths, but not all naturopaths are NDs!
