Our 6th and 7th graders did an incredible job bringing the Stations of the Cross to life. Each scene was thoughtfully portrayed, helping us all reflect deeply on Jesus’ journey to the cross. ✝️

The entire school participated reverently, and many were visibly moved by the powerful presentation. It was a beautiful reminder of the love and sacrifice that leads us to the joy of Easter and the Resurrection!

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, walking through the Stations helps us grow in faith, compassion, and gratitude.

Great job, 6th and 7th grade! We’re so proud of you!

📈 For our third year, STRIDE Financial volunteers partnered with Big Shoulders Fund to support its Stock Market Program. What a year it's been with all that's going on in the Stock Market!

Since fall, our team has worked monthly with 8th graders at St. Gall School on Chicago’s southeast side, covering topics like saving and investing basics, diversification, valuation, compound interest, and more.

Students participated in a portfolio competition with other schools, as well as an individual contest where they tracked and presented on a stock pick throughout the year.

As the program wraps up, each student will receive a small portfolio “management fee,” and one top-performing student will take home an iPad.

Thank you to the teachers, staff, and students of St. Gall. We’re proud to support financial literacy in our local communities!

Today our First Communicants took a beautiful step in their faith journey during their retreat! They learned about the mystery of Eucharistic transubstantiation, explored the symbols and sacred spaces in the church with Fr. Foley, practiced receiving communion, made their own rosaries, and grew together in faith and friendship.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing parent volunteers and all those who donated supplies—this special day wouldn't have been possible without you!

Artsy Thursday was a blast! 🎨✨ Our Little Bears let their creativity shine as they explored 7 fun and imaginative art projects—painting, gluing, stamping, and more! It was a day full of color, laughter, and new friendships. 🖌️❤️ We loved seeing our Bears express themselves and work side-by-side with their classmates and some brand new friends! A big thank you to all the future Little Bears who came to play—we can't wait to officially welcome you next year!

Today's Reading Workshop, “Curl Up with a Good Book,” hosted by Learn It Academic Services in collaboration with Title 1 and AAIC, provided families with practical strategies and resources to build a love of reading at home and support reading comprehension. A special thank you to Jeff Lobo for an insightful and engaging presentation. Each student took home a bag of books to help ignite their reading journey!

St. Gall 7th & 8th grade Bears Take on Springfield! 🐻🚍...continued...

📍 Illinois State Capitol – We stepped inside the heart of our state government, where laws are debated and decisions are made that impact all Illinoisans.

📍 Lincoln Presidential Museum – History came to life as we explored immersive exhibits that told Lincoln’s story, from his humble beginnings to his leadership during the Civil War.

🍕 Dinner at Pizza Ranch in Bloomington – We wrapped up the day with a fun and delicious meal, sharing stories and memories from our trip!

St. Gall Bears Take on Springfield! 🐻🚍

Our 7th and 8th graders, along with the 8th graders from Pope John Paul II Catholic School, had an incredible trip exploring the history and government of Illinois! It was great having them along for this adventure.

📍 First stop: Lincoln’s Home – We walked through the very house where Abraham Lincoln lived before becoming the 16th president, getting a glimpse into his daily life in Springfield.

📍 Lincoln’s Tomb – A powerful moment as we paid our respects to Lincoln at his final resting place, where many visitors rub his statue’s nose for good luck!
