As we celebrate Small Business Week, I want to recognize Nelson Cruz and his music shop La Voz Hispana which is closing its doors after 60 years. La Voz has instilled a love of music and culture in generations of Chicagoans, including myself. And we will miss this store where you could take lessons, and buy tapes, records, maracas and more.

Estamos en la Semana de la Pequeña Empresa, y quiero reconocer a Nelson Cruz y su tienda de música La Voz Hispana, que cierra sus puertas después de 60 años. La Voz ha inculcado el amor por la música y la cultura en varias generaciones de habitantes de Chicago, incluyéndome a mí. Extrañaremos esta tienda donde podías tomar lecciones y comprar casetes, discos, maracas y más.

RETIREMENT SALE (20%-50% off...everything must go!) going on now through May 15th 2024. Stop in, say hello & stock up as we wind down the business. Its been a great ride, but its time for Nelson to bow out :-) we love and appreciate all of our friends & customers we've made through out the years
