The Shaadi, also known as Vivah, Kalyanam, or Lagna, is the traditional Hindu Wedding ceremony. It’s the last part of the multi-day festivity and the most auspicious one. It is a celebration of love and unity where every step taken is a promise bound by Agni, the fire deity.
HSO cordially invites you all to our mock Hindu Wedding on Thursday, March 3rd at 7:30 PM in Damen MPR. Come join the wedding festivities with your friends and witness the intricate rituals and customs whilst enjoying a full, vegetarian Indian meal and dancing (featuring DJ Tamasha)!
All are welcome to this event. It is FREE for all LUC undergraduates and $1 for non-LUC guests (all proceeds made will go to our philanthropy partner - the Shree Ganesha Mandir on Devon). We hope to see you all there!

She joined HSO in order to practice her faith here on campus, but who would’ve known she’d end up finding her home away from home
Her favorite thing about HSO is how the events bring together such a diverse group of people whether they’re hindu and celebrating a beloved holiday or they’re non hindus hoping to learn something new while enjoying themselves.
A fun fact about Maya is that she is addicted to coffee and loves finding coffee shops around the city!
