Congratulations to Dr. Bharath Chelluboina on receiving a Bridge Innovative Project Award from the American Heart Association in support of his research project, “Microbiota Extracellular Vesicles as Modulators of Antihypertensive Drug Efficacy and Neuroprotection in Ischemic Stroke.” His work will explore the role of extracellular vesicles in post-stroke hypertension management and neuroprotection, advancing research at the intersection of cardiovascular and neurological health.

Congratulations to Dr. Tristesse Burton on having her abstract, “MADE for DASH: Rethinking Prenatal Diet Quality for GDM Prevention,” accepted for both a poster and a 5-minute oral presentation at the Boston BIRCWH Women’s Health Research Symposium. Dr. Burton was also awarded a competitive Travel Award recognizing her research on diet quality and food access among Black pregnant women to help inform gestational diabetes prevention.
