When you’ve spent years trying to figure out the “right” response,
not knowing what to do can feel f*cking terrifying.
So don’t solve the relationship then, love.
Stop deciding what you think they meant.
Don’t try to predict what's gonna happen.
And don't manufacture certainty just to disappear your discomfort.
Come back. Here. Now.
In your body.
Hand on your belly {or wherever you feel the most discomfort} and ask that place:
What do I actually know?
What am I afraid this means?
What does my body want to do?
What’s the smallest, most honest thing I can do next?
{Maybe it’s speak or wait.
Maybe it’s ask a question.
Or say you don’t know.
Maybe it’s to ask for help.
Or stop overriding the "no" you can already feel in the bottom of your belly.}
You don’t have to solve everything, love.
Just stay with yourself long enough to notice the next felt step.
🤔 What gets harder for you: not knowing...
or resisting the urge to immediately DO something about not knowing?
