An effective lighting design starts before you even walk in the door.
GGLD's exterior and interior lighting for theMennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State keeps the building bright and welcoming — no matter the time of day or night.
Path and patio visibility are amplified along the exterior, while the entrance implements strategic layers of lighting to provide a smooth experience, leading the eye into the main atrium and the corridors and classrooms beyond.

It's all about the details when it comes to amenity-focused design. GGLD carefully integrated lighting throughout this office, introducing warmth and visual interest.
In the first image, integrated uplight wraps around a perforated metal screen mounted above the bar, highlighting the textured material.
The next image shows one of the custom fixtures built by our team, which we seamlessly integrated into the wall panels of a corridor.
As seen in the final two images, this creates a unique pattern of illumination as one walks down the hallway.

Curved, modern shapes dominate this cozy office lounge — and the icing on the cake are the fun and wavy decorative fixtures.
Throughout this confidential corporate office, our lighting adds a sense of playfulness and creativity, designed to inspire all who enter.

Inside the new Corewell Health campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan, our team created a consistent visual language across two distinct buildings.
The historic Brasswork building's signature wood and brick finishes inspired our design for both spaces, where we incorporated hospitality-style illumination one would sooner expect to find in a restaurant or hotel, rather than an office building.
The continuity and warmth of the lighting across both buildings lays the foundation for the campus’s future: one that invites collaboration and fosters community health.
