Congratulations to Assistant Professor Ginger Schroers, who has been selected as a Fellow of the prestigious National League for Nursing Academy of Nursing Education!

NLN Fellows are leaders in nursing education who are selected through a highly competitive and rigorous review process.

Dr. Schroers is investigating an interruption management strategy called Stay SAFE that aims to increase patient safety. Thanks to her work, more nursing students and nurses have a structured, practical strategy to reduce the risk of errors on the job.

Dr. Schroers will be inducted during a ceremony at the NLN Education Summit in September. Learn more about her research on Stay SAFE at https://bit.ly/4xJxRRS

Loyola Nursing students live and learn in the world-class city of Chicago, but did you know that they can also receive specialized training in rural acute and long-term care?

Our new Rural Health Care Nursing Scholars Program, launched with a $3.8 million federal grant, prepares students to work in rural environments through supplemental learning and firsthand experiences in remote locations.

Our goal: to graduate more nurses ready to work in vital but hard-to-fill rural positions.
