Dear Friends:
I want to share a touching Milt’s moment from last week. We had the privilege of giving a father and his son an unforgettable experience: tickets to their first Bulls game and a BBQ dinner that was, in their words, "fit for a king."
These individuals are far from kings. Due to life's circumstances, they cannot afford a night out – ever. I cannot imagine a better use of extra tickets to an event that many of us can attend as often as we desire.
Milt’s is launching a new outreach program, “Milt’s Night Out,” that gives tickets to events with people who would otherwise have not access to attend. To make this program a success, we are looking for two kinds of partners. We need:
• people with extra tickets, whether to sports events, theater, concerts, opera, or anywhere else, and
• organizations that work to help those who are battling disease, struggling financially, or experiencing some other type of major hardship.
In addition to the tickets, Milt’s will treat the recipients to dinner. For those who donate tickets, Milt’s will arrange for a tax letter* reflecting the value of the donation.
Please contact Renata at [email protected] or (773) 661-6384 to discuss tickets you are able to donate, or if you are involved with an organization that is interested in being part of this program.
Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and support. Together, we can continue to do more and more for our community.
Best regards,
Jeff Aeder
Founder and Owner
* We welcome your tickets whether they are donated well in advance or at the eleventh hour. You will get a tax deduction for the face value of the tickets unless, in exceptional cases, the last-minute nature of the offer hinders our ability to find a suitable recipient.
