Why join Spectrum?
● It's a safe space for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff of DePaul University to go and learn more about themselves and many others. Nobody is left out. :)
● To promote socialization among students with common interests in a fun and safe atmosphere.
● To explore the multicultural issues pertinent and specific to the LGBTQA community, specifically including the marginalized groups such as communities of color, lower economic communities, women, transgender people, intersex people, and asexual people.
● An outlet to engage in political and social activism in order to heighten awareness of LGBTQ issues on DePaul’s campuses and in the surrounding areas.
● As a forum to facilitate discussions and create a presence at DePaul and to eradicate areas of homophobia, heterosexism, genderism, sexism, racism, elitism, classism and xenophobia (and various other forms of discrimination). An official announcement will be made should there be any room or time changes as well as for special events.
