Today we celebrate , and I couldn’t be more grateful for all of our students with DS, past, present, and future.

I’ve been so fortunate to see how much LOVES music, and while she has aged out of our program, anytime her mom brings her by the studio, she runs in, plops right down on the rug, and excitedly asks for the drum.

She still listens to our songs at home (by her own request!), and knows all of the words and movements. Don’t underestimate this sweet girl!! 💙💛💙💛

It’s so fun that our teacher (Ms. Cassie) loves teaching our infant and toddler music classes so much that she’s recording videos for her nephew in St. Louis! Her family is already trying to figure out a way to open another location in Misourri. 😍

I subbed for our Chicago classes today, and my morning started with a dad saying "Wait! Are you THE Ms. Clara? Can I give you a hug?"

He went on to share that my songs have stopped countless infant tears, saved many car rides, and even helped one of their daughters get through her recovery from surgery. It was one of the most heartfelt moments of gratitude for my music that I've ever received.

I say all the time that the benefits of our music classes extend far beyond the classroom, and my interaction with this family today was such a wonderful reminder of why I do what I do.

If you're new to our community, you may not know that our near 200 song curriculum (mostly "Ms. Clara" originals) have all been professionally arranged and recorded, and is included for free in your tuition.

On this last day of 2023, I'd like to honor the holiday season coming to a close by sharing a video of one of our Mini Musicians alum singing live on WGN's Daytime Chicago!

It's beyond rewarding to see former students continue to love and appreciate music as they grow older. This particular Mini Musician's journey with music began in our Munchkin Maestros class in 2013 when he was just 5 months old, and he was in our musical community for three straight years (joined in the later years by his little brother)!

Nothing more heartwarming than listening to NPR and unexpectedly hearing a piece from a Grammy-award winning album that both my parents played on during their combined 74 years with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

I even got to hear my late father John Head perform several short solos throughout. Music truly is timeless.
