We are excited to share Loyola University Chicago faculty member, Adam Kennedy, associate professor of Early Childhood Special Education, has launched the Early Pride Matters website with funding through the University’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Award Program and a $75,000 grant from the Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood.

The McCutcheon Elementary School and Loyola University Chicago community came together for the final celebration of the CSI McCutcheon Program, led by the amazing Yibetta Carrillo. The event showcased the remarkable talents and achievements of our students, and we couldn't be prouder!
From the heartwarming performances by the Concert Band and Rock Band to the energetic routines of the Cheerleaders and Dancers, every moment was filled with joy and pride. Our Problem-Solvers, Artists, Growers, Academics, Cultural Enthusiasts, and Athletes truly shined, making our hearts swell with happiness.
A huge thank you to our dedicated instructors and incredible students for their hard work and commitment. Together, we've created memories that will last a lifetime.

Alumna, Roseanna Jurasas, is almost done with her first year as a bilingual teacher in Chicago Public Schools! Jurasas worked at a special education summer school, where some of my students were bilingual or Spanish-speaking. "That was my first time seeing that you can incorporate language, Spanish specifically, into teaching."

Join the University Libraries, the Center for Textual Studies and Digital Humanities, and Office of Research Services for an engaging program in recognition of Fair Use/Fair Dealing Week. We will be hosting Donna L. Ferullo, JD, Professor and Director of the Copyright Office at Purdue University. An exception under the U.S. Copyright Act, fair use is a provision frequently used in higher education settings that can be confusing to those needing to interpret and apply it. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a group activity that allows them to apply their knowledge of fair use in various scenarios.
