Namaste Charter School Namaste is a public charter school in Chicago founded in 2004 to "educate children from the inside out".

Namaste Charter School serves 485 Kindergarten - 8th grade students each year with innovative programs including a strong commitment to health and wellness, a Dual Language Spanish immersion model, and attention to students' social-emotional and mental well-being.

✨ Girls Who Rise: ELLAS ✨
Over the course of two weeks, our 5th–8th grade girls embarked on a journey of leadership, growth, and self-discovery. 💜
Through career exploration, financial literacy, healthy relationships, wellness, self-advocacy, and decision-making, our girls challenged themselves, found their voices, built confidence, and began envisioning their futures as leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.
At the heart of their journey was ELLAS:
E — Empoderadas (Empowered)
L — Líderes (Leaders)
L — Luchadoras (Resilient)
A — Auténticas (Authentic)
S — Solidarias (Supportive & Community-Minded)
A special thank you to the incredible women who guided, coached, and inspired our girls throughout this experience: Nallely Gass, Anna Garcia Enriquez, Blanca Tena, Olga Camargo, Lupe Hernandez, and Samantha Alvarez. 💜
From learning how to advocate for themselves to exploring careers, building healthy habits, understanding money, and reflecting on their goals, every experience helped our girls take another step toward becoming the leaders they are capable of being.

Please join us in celebrating Ms. Yesenia Juarez, Namaste’s Teacher of the Year for the FY25–26 school year! 🎉🍎
A proud Northwestern University graduate and valued member of the Namaste community for the past 6 years, Ms. Juarez has made a lasting impact as a fourth-grade teacher and beyond. She has taught for 10 years.
She leads Namaste’s partnership with the University of Illinois Principal Scholars Program, helping students exceed grade-level expectations and prepare for long-term success in college and their careers. She is also a dedicated mentor to new teachers, sharing her guidance, encouragement, and expertise to help them thrive.
Ms. Juarez embodies our Namaste Pride Values—Peace, Responsibility, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy—in everything she does. Her leadership, heart, and commitment to excellence make Namaste a stronger school community. 💙
Outside the classroom, she enjoys golfing, exploring the city, and attending local conventions. ⛳🏙️

Choose Healthy, Choose You Campaign
Growing Strong, Living Tobacco-Free
📣 At Namaste, we are helping students grow into healthy, confident, and informed individuals. Our “Choose Healthy, Choose You!” campaign encourages students to make daily choices that support their bodies, minds, and futures. During their morning meeting on April 10th, teachers  discussed the importance of healthy choices using the suggested topics and activities. The Student Senate will visited classrooms to collect pledges, which was displayed on our Schoolwide Healthy Choices Wall! Resources are here! Our future kindergartners had a wonderful time at Kinder Play & Meet, where they met new classmates, connected with teachers and families, explored Namaste’s garden, and enjoyed a day filled with play, learning, and healthy treats! 🥕🌿

This year’s high school placement results reflect the dedication, resilience, and ambition our students have demonstrated throughout their middle school journey.
📊 Highlights:
• 28% earned acceptance to Selective Enrollment High Schools
• 32% were accepted to private schools and competitive choice programs, including Arts, IB, and STEM pathways across Chicago
These numbers represent more than admissions offers—they represent years of hard work, family support, and a community committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
We are incredibly proud of our graduates and excited to see the impact they will make in high school and beyond. 💙
