Joseph Medill was a high school up until the 1930's. It is unknown to me when it closed as a high school and opened as an elementary school. However it was an elementary school in the 1940's as indicated by the classroom picture on the page on grade 3A, room 105.

Joseph Medill Elementary was a High School in 1898. However, it is unknown what year it opened as an Elementary school, after it was closed as a high school.
