New Faculty Spotlight: Welcome Mrs. Cheryll Copeland!

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Cheryll Copeland to the St. Juliana School community! Cheryll holds a master’s degree in Elementary Education and has spent the past two years teaching Pre-K 4. She also has experience co-teaching first grade and working as a third-grade teacher’s aide.

Outside the classroom, Cheryll enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter Olive, and their dog, Maya, as well as gardening. She looks forward to getting to know our students and families and having a wonderful school year!

New Faculty Spotlight: Welcome Mr. James Soljacich!

We are excited to welcome Mr. James Soljacich as our new PE teacher at Saint Juliana School! James earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and is currently completing his Master’s in Education at Concordia University Chicago.

A Glenview native, James lives there with his two sons, Jay and Henry. He has spent the past two years working with K–8 students at Rondout Elementary School in Lake Forest and brings a strong background in athletics and youth development.

James has coached at Lake Forest High School for three years, helping the program win two state championships. He also directs the Learn2Lax program for kindergarten and first-grade students and coaches elite club lacrosse with Mad Dog.

In his free time, James enjoys playing guitar, golfing, and spending time with his family. He looks forward to helping Saint Juliana students stay active while promoting participation, health, and wellness!

New Faculty Spotlight: Welcome Ms. Colleen Gilligan!

We are excited to welcome Ms. Colleen Gilligan as a new resource teacher at St. Juliana School! A Chicago native and graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Colleen has extensive experience in elementary education, special education, and reading intervention. She holds a master’s degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities from DePaul University and has taught students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Colleen and her husband, Bob, are St. Juliana parishioners and the proud parents of their 11-year-old son, Christopher, and their golden retriever, Maggie. Colleen is grateful for the opportunity to join our school community. She believes every child is a precious gift from God and she is privileged to help her students grow not just academically, but also in their faith and love of God.

New Faculty Spotlight: Welcome Ms. Chloe Zadel!

We are excited to welcome Ms. Chloe Zadel to St. Juliana School as our new 5th grade teacher!

Originally from Clarendon Hills, Chloe graduated from Hinsdale Central High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University. She spent the past five years teaching in Michigan, gaining experience in kindergarten, 2nd grade, 5th grade, and middle school math.

Chloe recently moved to Edison Park with her husband and is excited to be back in the Chicago area. She is thrilled to join the St. Juliana community and looks forward to a wonderful year with our 5th grade students!

New Faculty Spotlight: Welcome Ms. Sarah Pusateri!

We are excited to welcome Ms. Sarah Pusateri to our faculty! Sarah has worked in education since 2011 and is passionate about creating a classroom where students feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn.

A true St. Juliana alumna, Sarah attended St. Juliana from preschool through 8th grade and remains an active parish member today. After substitute teaching at St. Juliana last year, she is thrilled to begin this new role and looks forward to getting to know her students and families. We are so happy to welcome her back to the St. Juliana community!

New Faculty Spotlight: Welcome Mr. Kerstetter!

We are excited to welcome Mr. Kerstetter to St. Juliana School! A lifelong history enthusiast with a passion for teaching, Mr. Kerstetter brings a unique background to our faculty.

Originally from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he earned a degree in International Relations from Georgetown University and served in the Army Reserves. He later earned his law degree from Penn State Dickinson School of Law and worked as an attorney before joining the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he eventually served as an Assistant Director in the Enforcement Division.

After retiring from the SEC last year, Mr. Kerstetter began pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education at Dominican University as he follows his longtime interest in teaching.

Mr. Kerstetter lives in River Forest with his wife and is the proud father of two adult children. We are thrilled to have him join the St. Juliana community and look forward to the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm he will bring to our students!
