The Illinois College of Optometry Private Practice Club strives to educate and provide opportunities for students at ICO interested in private practice optometry; to provide students with a deeper understanding of the rewards and challenges of private practice optometry and to provide students with the most effective available tools for the opportunities of private practice. Hey everyone! PPC is proud to announce a major event we are having on ✨January 31 from 5-10 pm!!✨Thanks to Vision Source, we are given an amazing networking opportunity to connect with current private practice owners around Chicagoland and to see how they designed their practice. Of course, food, drinks and transportation are included. Make sure to sign up by January 30th (check our story for the link). Can’t wait to see you all there! 😎

As the quarter is starting to come to an end, PPC is getting ahead and kick starting the new quarter with more events! We will have two presentations on November 14 AND 17!! 😎 We will be joined by the wonderful Ron Kemper, Andrew Fader, and Dr. Pete Kehoe.

Both events will start at 6:45 pm in the lecture hall and to make sure we start promptly, we ask students to come by at 6:30 pm to pick up your food.

If you are interested, please see the email sent to your ICO email and sign up by November 1st. Happy spooky season and good luck on finals!

Thank you to everyone who was able to come and join us at the Bulls game last night. It was an absolute blast! ⛹🏽‍♂️🏀 We hope to have more fun events (and get away from school stress 😅) in the near future!

Only a few more days until our second event! We will be having our guest speaker, Dr. Vitto Mena, talk to us about the 6 fundamental metrics on how to operate a practice. He will also talk how to set yourself up for success once you graduate - how to get out of student debt and how to accumulate wealth!

Hey ICO! We’re starting off the year with our very first event 🥳 We’re proud to have Dr. Brujic come in for an in-person presentation on September 22. There is going to be food (for members) so make sure you sign up! Links can be accessed on our profile and through your ICO emails.

Finally after two years in the making and the weather couldn’t have been any better for such an event! It was nice to see our students and those from for joining us.
