2nd grade Moms at the Spring Fundraiser

Hey Rm. 103 Parents!!

Decatur's Spring Fundraiser Raffle raised more than $10,000 last year for important school programming and supplies. We need your help to raise even more this year.

Tickets were sent home in backpacks; please return bought/sold ticket stubs to Kate Schott, PTA. We could use all the blank tickets we can get so please return those, too, if you're not participating this year. Students who sell 20 or more tickets get $20 worth of Scholastic book dollars to use at the Spring Book Fair!

Grand prize is $1,000, and ticket stubs are due March 29th. The drawing will be held at The Decatur April Fools Masquerade Gala on April 1.

Decatur Community,

The Principal Selection Committee had its first meeting on Tuesday, January 17. Thank you to the parents who attended the open portion of the meeting. We had a positive and productive discussion, and a lot of great feedback.

Our CPS position posting drew a large number of responses. From these applications, the committee has recommended a slate of very strong candidates to move forward to the first round of interviews.

This slate was approved by the LSC on Thursday, January 19. Over the next two weeks, we will conduct these first-round interviews. We’ll continue to keep you informed as the process progresses.

Howdy Partners! Be sure to put on your cowboy gear & mosey on over to Decatur for the Welcome Roundup on Thursday 9/22 @ 5:30-7:30pm. Whole Family Welcome for some good ol' fashioned fun. Games, face painting, and craft makin'. Bring your own chow, or buy hot dogs from the 6th graders.
