This course is designed to help music educators rediscover their purpose and reignite their passion for teaching and for their personal lives. An Unforgettable Experience with Pamwe Marimba! 🎶

On Tuesday, August 27, VanderCook had the incredible opportunity to host Pamwe Marimba on campus. This dynamic group of eight percussionists, who specialize in Zimbabwean music, filled room 130 with vibrant rhythms and energy. Thanks to a generous donor, this performance was a highlight of their Midwest tour!

Not only did we get to witness their amazing performance, but the VCM percussion students also had the chance to perform and learn alongside Pamwe Marimba. It was an enriching experience that brought new musical insights and strengthened our percussion community. 🌍🥁

🎶 Kicking off the school year with inspiration and excellence! 🎶
Our first seminar was a fantastic start to the year! Our undergraduate dean, Dr. Dolan, welcomed us with an informative presentation about our community, setting a positive tone for the months ahead. We were also inspired by Professor Kaminsky, who shared invaluable insights on creating a culture of excellence in our musical and educational pursuits.
