Sometimes children repeat questions because they forgot the answer.
But often, repeated questioning is about regulation through reassurance.
When children feel uncertain, anxious, or dysregulated, their brains seek predictability.
The repeated question isn’t always about getting new information.
It can be an attempt to reduce internal uncertainty.
That’s why simply repeating the answer sometimes doesn’t help.
What helps more is responding to the need underneath:
“I’ve already answered that, and it sounds like your brain is needing extra reassurance right now.”
Then support predictability through:
visual cues
clear time markers
consistent routines
co-regulation
Repeated questions can be a window into what a child’s nervous system is struggling to hold.
Not defiance.
Not manipulation.
Often uncertainty.
Does your child have a question they repeat when they’re feeling unsettled?

Growing Together Through Challenges:
If your child just turned three, welcome to one of the most magical (and yes, messy!) stages of parenting. At three, children are bursting with personality, independence, and curiosity—but also testing boundaries and exploring their big emotions in new ways.
This is the age where your little one is learning to:
-Assert themselves and say, “I do it myself!”
-Build early friendships and social skills
-Develop emotional awareness and independence
While it’s normal to feel challenged, this stage is full of growth opportunities for both children and parents. Let’s explore some common struggles and gentle, realistic ways to support your three-year-old’s development.

The Gentle Art of Letting Go: Two-year-olds are full of wonder, curiosity, and—let’s be honest—plenty of opinions. At this age, your little one is not only discovering the world but also learning who they are within it. And while it’s completely natural to want to shield, carry, and comfort them through every challenge, here’s the truth: the skills that build confidence, leadership, and independence come from stepping back, not leaning in too far.
