Dreamlike
I know I will never have you in this life,
Yet your melody echoes in my heart.
As evening shadows descend upon me,
Fate shatters my soul, tearing it apart.
By the river, I sit and ponder alone,
Your memories awaken a hidden pain.
The sky knows well my restless sorrow,
Yet in dreams, your traces remain.
As time flows, memories fade,
Your touch lingers only in my mind.
Still, I weep in hopes of having you,
As night’s stars fall, silent and blind.
You were, you are, and always will be,
Love may fade, but the heart stays free.
