Our CPAAC parents gathered at Hall Library for an engaging Arts + Culture session led by Bryant Johnson, where they explored the connections between history, creativity, and community. Through meaningful discussions and shared experiences, participants gained a deeper appreciation for the stories, voices, and culture that continue to shape our neighborhoods.

At DOI, we believe that learning doesn't stop in the classroom—it happens every time we come together to listen, reflect, and grow.

🎉 Congratulations to our Student Karma scholars! 👏🏽💜

After four weeks of learning, growing, and building new skills through our partnership with Northwestern University's ACROSS Program, our Student Karma participants proudly celebrated the completion of Activation 2!

Throughout the program, students explored leadership, teamwork, civic engagement, and life skills while creating meaningful connections with mentors and one another. Their hard work, curiosity, and dedication were on full display, and we couldn't be prouder of everything they accomplished.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners at Northwestern University ACROSS for investing in our youth and helping create experiences that inspire confidence, growth, and future success.

This is only the beginning—great things are ahead for these amazing young leaders! 💜✨

Healing begins with connection. 💜

Our CPAAC parents had the opportunity to visit the Obama Presidential Center, where they reflected on the importance of mental health, resilience, and building stronger communities together. Through meaningful conversations led by Gerald Morrow and our incredible instructor team, participants explored how healing starts within ourselves and grows through the support of those around us.

Every experience like this reminds us that investing in our well-being is an investment in our families and our future.
