Clinical Professor Bill Reynolds, who heads the Employee Benefit Claims Clinic, is in the news!

When former NFL players are denied the disability benefits they deserve, Chicago-Kent College of Law Assistant Clinical Professor William Reynolds ’13 steps in to fight back.
Reynolds, with support from a team of Chicago-Kent law students, is representing former NFL player Ka’lial Glaud, whose claim for neurocognitive disability benefits was denied after suffering multiple concussions during his career. Their case highlights the legal hurdles players face under ERISA, a federal law that gives benefit plan administrators wide discretion and makes overturning denials extremely difficult.
Through the Employee Benefits Claims Clinic, Reynolds is not only advocating for fairness in professional sports but also giving students hands-on experience tackling complex benefit litigation. Learn more: https://bit.ly/47XK4aI
