111 years ago Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®️ became a perpetual entity led by Nellie Mae Quander and 5 other women known today as “The Incorporators”. Their brave and quick actions ensured the protection of this beloved sorority.

On January 15, 1908, 9 African American college women began a legacy of sisterhood, service and scholarship that continues to SOAR 116 years later. We stand today in awe and in thanks of their vision. Happy Founders’ Day to all of our lovely sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated®️! 🩷💚

Pretty Pi Nu Chapter would like to take this opportunity to congratulate President Shyrice Howell on her graduation from Northeastern Illinois University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Shyrice is the epitome of sisterliness, strength and endurance and has left a legacy that will remain for years to come.

Pi Nu has been blessed by your service and there are not enough words to truly express our gratitude. You are loved and will be greatly missed.

🩷💚Pi Nu Chapter would like to congratulate the recipients of the “Pi Nu Chapter Uplift Scholarship”!

The Uplift Scholarship was born out of the need to assist other African American students at NEIU as they matriculate through their undergraduate studies. We hope this scholarship will be of great impact to its recipients.
