In July of 2021, along with 4 million or so friends, I decided to hit the pause button at work. Experts have tried to give it many different names but I prefer to call it the great reassessment. I took a few months to relax, recharge, reassess and think about what might be next professionally.
Today I am beyond excited to announce my newest adventure. Let me reintroduce myself as Kelly Palmer, the Founder & Principal of Adviser Checkup LLC. Adviser Checkup is primarily an educational service to help clients of investment advisers. Think of me as a personal coach and advocate for the client who wants an extra, independent set of eyes.
In addition to my one-on-one services I am launching 'The Adviser Checkup Podcast' which is now available on all major podcast platforms. On the podcast you can expect approachable conversations about how to prepare for a meeting with you adviser, how to know if your adviser legally has to keep your best interest in mind, understanding the securities you are actually invested in, how to read the mysterious “Form ADV" your adviser sends you each year, and so much more.
