Today is my Birthday, I’m 34 years old, I’m on the Oregon coast with some truly amazing human beings and I’m blessed beyond words to be alive.
Yet, this morning when I woke, my heart was heavy.
Heavy, because last week marked the end of another relationship chapter in my book.
I woke up full of excitement to check my phone and the birthday wishes AND at the Exact Same Time, my heart raced with anxiety.
I popped down to the hotel lobby to enjoy a coffee and reflection before the day begins and this is what transpired:
Each one of us is on a journey of becoming.
Becoming anything— AT ALL — that we would like to be in this world.
Each moment is here to teach us, to expand our current experience of life and to give us The Power To Choose the future that we would like to create.
I believe that each person who joins our journey, whether for a lifetime, season or moment, does so in order to aid in us becoming the absolute best version of ourselves as possible.
I also believe that every emotion we feel, in the depths of our heart CAN— in the blink of an eye— Be Transformed.
Today, I Choose to transform Heavy into Light.
I Choose to honor all o life’s experiences as gifts, to be opened, enjoyed and shared.
I Choose to embrace the next chapter of my life’s book with Excitement, Compassion, Gratitude and most importantly LOVE.
I Choose to understand & embrace a ‘knowing’ that’s true to my core:
Our deepest wounds always become our greatest strengths, the only direction to move, is through.
Thank You God for the incredible gift of being a human becoming.
