As the school year comes to its final days, we look back and share moments worth celebrating.
The Archdiocese of San Antonio presents the Archbishops Medalion Award to a senior from each high school. This award recognizes the outstanding commitment to Catholic values, service to the school/community and leadership in promoting the faith. Central Catholic high school has done a great job at providing opportunities for the young men to join ministry clubs which fosters spiritual growth, leadership and community service for all the young men. These clubs provide opportunities for prayer, retreats and hands on service projects to help young men develop faith, character, and social responsibility.

As the year draws to an end, we’re proud to share stories that defined our community.
The Student Council at St. Peter Catholic School in Monument, CO, put together a Lenten Food Drive. St. Peter Parishioners founded an outreach organization called Tri-Lakes Cares and each year the school has held a food drive during November for the holidays. However, this year the Student Council wanted their Lenten Almsgiving project to help the needs of Tri-Lakes Cares during a time of year that doesn't necessarily get a lot of donations. Student Council set their goal to feed 100 families. The entire student body rallied to bring in themed foods for 5 weeks, i.e. one week was breakfast food, the next week was baking basics, and another was spaghetti dinner. In the end, the student body and their families fed more than 100 families. The students were so proud to bring the food over to Tri-Lakes Cares and help them stock the shelves full. This was a highlight for our 8th grade class of 2026 to lead a successful food drive and live out a virtuous life through servant leadership.

One of the most meaningful traditions at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in Wichita, KS takes place each May when we pause our regular school day for what we call a “full circle” moment. We celebrate our 8th grade students as they present their culminating projects — semester-long presentations on current topics that showcase the skills they have been developing since their earliest days in PreK. Students present before community panels as a testament to their academic growth, confidence, and faith-filled formation during their time at St. Thomas. At the very same time, we welcome our newest families during Kindergarten Roundup, where incoming students meet their teachers and families learn more about the incredible blessing of living in a stewardship diocese. It is a beautiful reminder of our mission: celebrating the students we are sending forward while joyfully welcoming the little souls just beginning their journey with us.
