📚 Literacy changes lives, and it starts with opportunity.
When a child learns to read, they gain a foundation for lifelong learning, confidence, and future opportunities. Yet for many children, access to books and literacy support is still out of reach.
Through programs like Literacy Hour, children and caregivers build the skills, habits, and love of reading that keep learning going beyond the classroom and into the home.
Every book shared, every story read aloud, and every literacy session supported helps build a stronger future for a child, a family, and a community.

Small Spaces, Big Possibilities
Across the communities we serve, children are gathering to read, explore stories, and learn together in safe, welcoming spaces. With support from facilitators, these moments are building confidence, sparking curiosity, and strengthening early literacy skills.
What started as a launch is becoming a movement, one where children aren’t just learning to read, but are beginning to enjoy and seek out books.
One mini library at a time, we’re nurturing a growing culture of reading. 📚
👉 Join us in making reading accessible for every child. Whether by supporting a mini library, donating books, or spreading the word, you can help turn small spaces into big possibilities. https://www.pangeaeducation.org/donate-page

🚨 Ebola Alert: Awareness Can Save Lives 🚨
With confirmed Ebola cases in Uganda and a fast-growing outbreak in the DRC, this is a critical moment for communities to stay alert and informed.
There is currently no widely available vaccine for this strain, making prevention, early action, and accurate information our strongest protection.
📖 The Thief Strikes: https://lnkd.in/e2sPUyhm is more than a story. It helps children and families understand:
✔️ How Ebola spreads
✔️ What signs to watch for
✔️ How to protect themselves and others
In times like these, knowledge must reach every home, every child, every community.
Let’s use stories to spark conversations, fight misinformation, and take action early.
💪 Stay informed. Speak up. Stay safe.

We’ve officially launched Pangea’s Spring Campaign, Turn the Page, and we’re inviting you to help us keep the momentum going.
For over fifteen years, we’ve worked alongside communities to improve education for children in Uganda. Today, our focus is on strengthening literacy outcomes in refugee settlements and beyond.
Turn the Page is a call to invest in progress, possibility, and the power of education. Your support makes that possible.

Our reading space at Imvepi Refugee Settlement is pure joy! ✨
Children sprawl across colorful mats, noses buried in picture books, eyes wide as they point at animals marching across the page or giggle at a funny monkey. Some trace the illustrations with tiny fingers, whispering the story to a friend who can’t yet read the words. Parents often join in, crowding around shared storybooks and iPads, laughing together as they rediscover folktales from home and explore new worlds they’ve never imagined.
Here, reading isn’t just a skill, it’s our favourite way to play, to dream, to heal, and to belong. A real culture of books is growing, one delighted “again!” at a time.
Thank you for believing in the power of books and for helping us keep this space filled with wonder and laughter.
📚 Help us keep the shelves stocked, the stories flowing, and the joy of reading alive for every child. Whether you donate a book, support our programs, or share our mission, you become part of this story too. Join us in building a future where every child has the chance to read, imagine, and thrive. 📚 Sometimes it’s the small things that keep learning going.
A quick visit to a home.
Helping a child choose a book they’re truly excited about.
Noticing an app is missing and putting it back.
Reminding a family to charge a device so it’s ready for the next day.
Through Project Backpack, we’ve been showing up in these simple ways, and they add up.
When the little things are taken care of, children can focus on what matters most: exploring, reading, and growing with confidence.
That’s what the work really looks like for us: quiet, consistent, and close to home. 💛

📚 Fun Fact: In Uganda, children in lower primary (P1–P3) first learn to read in a language they already speak and understand. This approach helps them build confidence and grasp sounds and meaning more quickly, creating a strong foundation before they transition to English. ✨
At Pangea, we support this journey by creating storybooks in local languages, as well as bilingual editions that gently help children move from familiar words to new ones.
