Last meeting. Same purpose, deeper impact.
Grateful for my time on the 2025–2026 Educator Advisory Committee at the Chicago Architecture Center.
I didn’t just learn. I applied, I connected, and I grew in ways that will continue to impact my students and every space I step into.
Everything I gained here will keep showing up. In my classroom, in my leadership, and in every room I walk into next.
Disappointed in some West Side leaders pushing messages that ignore the reality of our most under-resourced school communities.
Especially as someone from North Lawndale teaching in East Garfield Park.
Over 300 of our students used their rights in their community. This is unity!
Let me be clear: I’m proud of my students for stepping into their power on May Day and using their voices to fight for fully funded, equitable schools and immigrant rights!
This affects them, period!
