Your child’s speech may be adorable—but if you’re wondering whether certain sounds or patterns are still age-appropriate, you’re not alone.

Many parents find themselves asking, “Will they grow out of this?” The answer isn’t always the same for every child. Understanding typical speech development can help you know when to wait, when to watch, and when to seek support.

A pediatric SLP can help you better understand your child’s communication skills and provide guidance on next steps if needed.

With Coral Care, families can connect with pediatric SLPs for personalized in-home support that fits into everyday routines.

Starting kindergarten is a big milestone—for children and parents. 💛

At Coral Care, we know it's easy to wonder if your child is "ready." The truth is, kindergarten readiness isn't about having every skill mastered before the first day. It's about helping children build confidence, adapt to new routines, and feel excited to learn.

Every child develops at their own pace, and sometimes a little extra support can make all the difference. Our licensed pediatric OT, PT, and SLP providers work with families through personalized in-home sessions to help children build the skills they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Back-to-school prep is about more than school supplies—it’s about building the skills kids use every day in the classroom.

This simple painter’s tape activity is an OT favorite because it supports so many developmental skills, including:

✨ Fine motor strength
✨ Scissor skills
✨ Bilateral coordination
✨ Letter recognition
✨ Visual scanning
✨ Eye-hand coordination

The best part? You only need painter’s tape, scissors, and a piece of paper with the alphabet!
Small, playful activities can help build confidence and school-ready skills. 💙

The good news? Kids' bodies are incredibly adaptable, and there are simple changes that can make a big difference.

We cover:
✔️ what iguana neck actually is

A question we get a lot: what actually happens during an OT evaluation? 👀

Pooja, one of our incredible occupational therapists, is breaking it down.

While an OT evaluation may look like simple play, it's actually a thoughtful assessment of how your child moves, plays, communicates, problem-solves, and interacts with the world around them. We observe skills like regulation, attention, fine motor skills, visual motor skills, and executive functioning—all in a way that feels natural and engaging for your child.

An OT evaluation is an important first step because it helps us understand your child's unique strengths and challenges so we can create a personalized plan to help them thrive.

If you're wondering whether OT might be right for your child, we're here to help. Learn more and get started at joincoralcare.com.
