We’ve all been there, right guys?
Right…?
Guys????
I’m so tired.
Someone asked me yesterday “don’t you get scared carrying around your phone without a case?
I said “I hate this thing. I can’t believe I’m expected to carry it, PERIOD.”
Thanks to for empowering me to absolutely HATE our social media over lords. (Their F* the Algorithm workshop is ACES)
And for spotting the feature.
Put your phone away.
(Do we think I’ll be shadow banned for anti-Zuck propaganda?)
If I post a reel about how awful Instagram is, do you think I’ll get shadow banned???
Thank you for the courage to say F* the Algorithm (killer workshop BTW)
And for finding the toggle
Get off your phone.
It doesn’t need anything from you the rest of the day.

A lot of these lessons came at a cost.
Burnout.
Grief.
Outgrowing old versions of myself.
Realizing I couldn’t keep living at the pace the world seemed to demand of me.
After treatment, I started building a life — and also a business — around different values instead.
Rest.
Connection.
Wonder.
Softness.
Vulnerability.
Community.
Slowness.
Presence.
Not because those things are easy.
Just the opposite, actually.
And because we desperately need them right now.
This philosophy shapes every workshop I teach.
Yes, people come to make beautiful plant art and learn something new.
But underneath that, what we’re really creating is space.
Space to slow down.
Space to make something with your hands.
Space to remember how to connect.
Space to take a few breaths.
Space to remember there’s still beauty and softness left in the world.
And honestly?
I think we’re all starving for that right now.
So if you find yourself in need of a place to rest, retreat, reset, or reconnect…
These workshops are specifically for you.
I’m so thankful for longer days, more light, and just a little more warmth.
Cause this is how I felt all winter.
Ya know what I mean?

The way I’m OBSESSED with this little guy from
When I started planning my new mini moss terrarium workshops, I knew I needed an extra little touch of magic to bring it home… so I set my alarm for 12:00 SHARP when

If we haven't met yet, hey! I'm Austin.
I'm the Uncommon Plant Guy.
And If you made it through all those slides - you probably feel like something in them hit close to home.
Because that's just where we are right now, isn't it? Everything is loud. Everything is fast.
Everything demands something from us before we've even had a chance to catch our breath.
And after a while, that starts to cost you something.
For me, it cost me a lot. The suffocation of modern life landed me in a 12-week treatment program for disordered eating and depression. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. And it was also the beginning of something I didn't expect - a new relationship with myself. One built on love, patience, gentleness, and joy.
Plants were a MASSIVE part of that.
I'm a member of the Osage Nation, an Indigenous tribe in modern-day Oklahoma, and reconnecting with my roots through my work with plants has given me something I didn't know I was missing — a sense of belonging to something slower, older, and more honest than anything a screen can offer.
That experience lives in every single workshop I teach.
I'm not here to just show you how to keep something alive on your windowsill. I'm here because I know what it feels like to be running on empty. To need something real. To need to slow down and remember that you're allowed to take up space, make a mess, and not be perfect at something.
That's what we do in my workshops.
We get our hands dirty.
We laugh.
We breathe.
(I usually cry).
And together, we make something beautiful - and we leave feeling a little more like ourselves.
If that sounds like something you need right now, I'd love to meet you.
Upcoming workshops are linked in my bio.
Welcome. I'm really glad you found me.
