This week faculty and staff came together for a conversation about politics, city government, public service and the Vincentian mission at the Vincentian Heritage Week Luncheon in the Loop.

SCPS Dean Tatum Thomas moderated the conversation with Chicago Aldermen Lamont Robinson and Bill Conway, exploring how values like service, human dignity and the common good shape the work of public servants and DePaul’s role in the city of Chicago. By bringing together civic leaders and the DePaul community, the luncheon provided a closer look at what it means to put Vincentian values into action—both at work and in the communities we call home.

🎉 SCPS celebrates staff achievements!

On September 1, Patrizia Acerra, SCPS adjunct faculty and Associate Director of Programs, was honored as a 33rd Edition Honoree by the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre. Pat was chosen for her work with the International Voices Project, bringing voices and experiences from around the world to Chicago audiences through translation and theatrical performance, fostering cultural exchange between diverse theatrical experiences.

Her recognition reflects the creativity, global impact, and dedication our SCPS staff and faculty bring to the classroom. Congratulations, Patrizia, on this outstanding achievement! 💙
