Girls 4 Science Nonprofit dedicated to empowering & equipping girls ages 10-18 to pursue careers in STEM. 👩🏾‍🔬

Girls 4 Science is a nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing girls in Chicago ages 10-18 years old to science, technology, engineering and math. We focus on developing skills, self-esteem, awareness and relationships to help girls overcome barriers that may prevent them from achieving greater success in these fields. G4S has an open enrollmentpolicy that does not discriminate on the basis of

financial status. Many who take part do not have readily available resources to support educational opportunities. Others, who once had access to enrichment programs, no longer do because of budget cuts during these difficult economic times. Consequently, they share a lack of positive images and varied role models that can isolate them in male-dominated STEM fields.

Girls 4 Science would like to thank Joseph & Bessie Feinberg Foundation along with Cedar Concepts Corporation for sponsoring our annual Student Recognition Ceremony on Saturday Aug. 15th. Special thanks to guest speaker Nicoleta Elefteriadis.

Families celebrated the end of summer event reflecting on the impact of G4S on their daughter’s STEM success. Special recognition to G4S staff and volunteers who continue to offer their talents in and outside of the classroom. We look forward to another year of service in the community and welcome new and returning students to register for the fall progam.
