Irving Park Homeschool Group Irving Park Homeschool Group serves homeschooling families in and around the Chicagoland area.

Through our parent and organizational partnerships, we are able to provide homeschooling students ages 5-18 a variety of academic classes and enrichment opportunities. Our Tuesday program and Thursday classes are held at The Irving Park Lutheran Church Gymnasium complete with two adjacent classrooms, a full working kitchen, and stage. We offer two semesters of learning: Fall semester (September -

Fall Semester 2026 is officially in full swing at IPHG. 🍂
From science, history and art, to languages, literature, cooking, and plenty of time to simply be together—our classrooms are once again full of curious minds, good questions, creative messes, and the happy hum of a community learning together.

Join your IPHG friends at 10:30 a.m. for a morning of sunshine, sand, and good company. We’ll plan to set up just south of the first lifeguard post, so look for our group when you arrive.
Pack your swimsuits, towels, snacks, and beach toys—we’re looking forward to another wonderful summer day together! 🌊🏖️

It’s that time again! Current and prospective IPHG families, you’re invited to our next Nature Meetup happening this Friday at the beautiful LaBagh Woods - meeting at Hernandez Picnic Area (located at the northwest corner of Foster Ave. and Kilbourn Ave.).
Join fellow homeschoolers for exploration outdoors, where play in nature sparks curiosity, strengthens resilience, and nurtures a lasting sense of wonder and connection with the world around us.

Edit: 🚨A quick change of course for today’s adventure: Beach Day is canceled due to a beach advisory.
But don’t pack away the swimsuits just yet! Instead, join us at Independence Park at 10:30 AM for playground fun, picnicking, and a dash through the sprinklers. Then, from 12:00–12:45 PM, we’ll cool off with open swim at the park house pool.
We hope to see you there!

Whether you’re all about soaking up the sun or sticking to the shade under a wide-brimmed hat, we can’t wait to see you there for a day of community, laughter, and lakefront fun! 🏖️🌊
