It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I share that our beloved Catamount Jaylen Ausley (‘17) has passed away. In addition to being an alumnus, he was a beloved member of our staff, having joined us as a Culture Specialist upon his graduation from University of Michigan in 2021.

His loss is devastating to all of us who knew and loved him. I send my sincere condolences to the Class of 2017, to his family and loved ones, and to our Catamount family as a whole.

If you need help with processing, please reach out. We will be here for one another and we can connect you with resources.

Also, I respectfully ask people not to view or share the video recording that is on social media that shows how he died. Let’s rememiner him for how he lived and the bright light he was in this world.
