I drove to Dharamshala because a conflict had closed the airspace. War closes the sky; peace goes by land.

What I received there was not for me. It was addressed to the work — "for you and your colleagues" — which is why I can share it: this blessing belongs to everyone carrying this.

Peace has always been defined by what is missing from it — the absence of war, the absence of injustice.

This book defines it by what is present.

Beneath the peace of treaties and the peace of justice there is a third thing: the condition inside human beings that makes either of them hold. I call it Fundamental Peace. It can be defined, measured, trained and taught to anyone — and the whole book exists to show how.

On 21 September, the International Day of Peace, I'm launching Fundamental Peace: The Source Book — live, worldwide.

It won't be a book talk. It will be a Dialogue for Fundamental Peace, run by the rules the book itself proposes: nobody represents anyone, nothing has to be agreed, the question is experiential, and differences get named rather than smoothed. We begin in silence — because two braced nervous systems will reproduce the conflict they came to resolve.

Free, and open to anyone, from anywhere.

Twenty years of work in one sentence: negative peace ends violence, positive peace builds justice, and neither holds without a third thing.

El 21 de septiembre, Día Internacional de la Paz, lanzo Paz Fundamental: El Libro Fuente —en directo y para todo el mundo.

No será una presentación. Será un Diálogo por la Paz Fundamental, con las reglas que el propio libro propone: nadie representa a nadie, no hay nada que acordar, la pregunta es experiencial y las diferencias se nombran en lugar de aplanarse. Empezamos en silencio, porque dos sistemas nerviosos en guardia reproducen el conflicto que vienen a resolver.
