Have you been listening to your body lately? What has she been telling you? Does she need more rest, less pressure to rush through things, maybe a gentle reminder that regardless of all circumstances she's doing a great job?

I know when I experience flare ups in pain , it's like my ego gets louder, pushes harder and expects more of me

And I've been recognizing that I need to set some firm and loving boundaries with my ego!

Yes ego, thank you for trying to protect me, help me, but it's okay to slow down, to ask for help, to cry, to rest, it doesn't make us any less worthy or deserving

I invite you to take a moment, here and now, to simply take a couple deep breaths and repeat this affirmation out loud, focusing on your heart center

My functional medicine doctor recently told me "Chronic pain patients often want to find the one magic thing that cures it all, when really healing can be a combination of 10 different things and they're not going to be the same 10 things for the next person"

This has really stuck with me and I've realized that's what the healing journey is about, finding the things that make a difference and combining them with all the other things that support your own healing

This can look like so many things from functional medicine, holistic wellness, energy healing, inner child work, chakra healing, and so on!
