On May 5th, the U.S. Department of Education will resume collecting student loan payments.

More than 42.7 million US student loan borrowers owe $1.6 trillion; 4 million near default status.

Parents, college is possible without loans. Type NO LOANS to act now before it’s too late.

The Education Department says millions of borrowers in default will have a chance to make a payment or sign up for a repayment plan. But on May 5, those who don't will be referred for collection.
