Members of the American Sign Language Avatar Project at DePaul University's Technology Innovation Showcase held January 31st. Flanking the group are members Katie and Madhu, who are both master's students and are taking ASL classes offered by the Chicago Hearing Society. Their majors are Computer Science and HCI, respectively. From left to right behind the table are Megan, Maria and EJ. Meghan and EJ are our animators. Maria is one of our doctoral students, who will be working on an approach to transfer our animation data to Mexican Sign Language.
