At Senn, Thursday Study Halls are reserved for all Scholars to catch up on missing assignments, study for assessments, and receive online tutoring. Each week, Scholars come to the Schuler room to work together and individually. Scholars: we’ll see you on Thursday! Keep up the good work 🙌🏾

On Wednesday, Junior Scholars at Senn took their official SAT exam! Afterward, they celebrated with Chipotle and an intense game of Mafia. We are so proud of all of you! Keep working hard and celebrating your wins: big and small ☀️

It may be the end of Black History Month, but Black excellence can be celebrated year long. Last week during advisory, Senn hosted a BHM showcase celebrating Black talent on campus.

We heard from student poets, singers, and dancers at Senn and learned about Ubuntu, Black love, diversity in African fashion, and so much more!

As high school students, it’s often challenging to determine what one wants to do in life.  With the challenges of virtual learning and a global pandemic, making this determination has been further complicated.

Recorded at the beginning of the pandemic, this episode of the Irresistible Podcast, four students and winners of a magazine essay contest, answered a prompt about their own wildest dreams. Click the link in the bio to listen to the episode!

In this episode, we hear four winning essays from the YES! Magazine student essay contest this spring, read by their authors. The prompt was about students' Wildest Dreams for 2020, inspired by our New Years Practice with Alicia Garza here on the podcast. 1,342 students submitted essays, and these were some of the most powerful.”

For the last two weeks, Schuler’s College and Educational  Counselors have supported sophomores through their course selection planning at Senn.  Scholars are encouraged to work with their Schuler counselors, Senn staff, and families to determine the best fit for each individual. To help in this process, junior Scholars joined STEP to share their experiences and answer questions about courses at Senn. 

Scholars, remember that you are in charge of your learning. Talk to your support system to help you make the best decisions for yourself.
