Cuteness overload! This little buddy joined us this month and is settling in nicely. Welcome friend ❤️

Over the past few weeks, our toddlers carefully observed caterpillars grow and transform. Today they got to release them at the park. The kids were filled with excitement as the butterflies landed nearby and fluttered off into the sky 🦋

At SLA we know that reading is a huge foundational component for all areas of learning. As part of this, we hand curate an Author of the Month as part of our hand crafted curriculum.

We love exploring different characters, building our background knowledge and growing our vocabulary. When choosing our authors of the month, we focus on making sure many different backgrounds and experiences are represented. We know it is very important for our kids to see characters who look like them AND characters that do not. Ask us about some of our favorite children’s book authors!

Outdoor play has multiple benefits! Not only does it help gross motor development but it improves sleep quality, promotes immune system development, and enhances cognitive functioning through sensory exploration ☀️💐 Our buddies love their outside time!

It takes the most special people to be teachers and caregivers. They build deep bonds with their students through consistent, sensitive, and responsive interactions. They sing them songs. They read them books. They feed them. They rock them. They know their favorite toys. They celebrate milestone achievements. They wipe their tears. Happy teacher appreciation week to the best ECE staff around ❤️
