Dear Health Sciences Majors,

I write with mixed emotions to let you all know that I have accepted a new job outside of the university, and my last day as your advisor will be March 27.

I joined the Department of Health Sciences in November 2011, as our program was just coming to be. It’s been my pleasure to serve this department and all of you for the last seven years. DePaul has a very special place in my heart, and I will always be very proud of my time here. I am excited for this new professional opportunity, but very aware of what I leave behind.

While the department is working on finding my replacement, I want to assure you that lots of people will have your back.
• The CSH Office of Advising is available if you need any help with your degree plans, course selection, or planning for graduation. You can stop by their office in McGowan South Suite 400 or call 773-325-8490 to schedule a phone or in-person advising appointment. Pathways Honors students, your advisor is still Lauren Paez in the CSH Advising office.
• The CSH Director of Academic Advising, Erin Berkowitz, will send emails to keep you up-to-date, so make sure you keep an eye out for those!
• As always, your faculty advisor is also here to help with thinking about how to connect your academic and professional plans. You can find their contact information in BlueStar. If you don’t have a faculty advisor and are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior, you should get one assigned to you in the next two weeks.

Applying to Medical School – the AAMC Virtual Fair is today and you can still register. It runs to 7pm. This would be a good opportunity to ask a medical school where requirements are unclear. "I attend DePaul University and we are on a quarter system, I see you require biochemistry. Do you require one or two quarter."
