San Miguel School Chicago

This past Friday, we gathered as a school community for Mass before our 6th graders headed off to Dunrovin. ✝️💙🌲
Following Mass, we celebrated our MVDs (Most Valuable Dragons) — students who truly exemplify what it means to be a San Miguel leader. These are students who lead with kindness, show respect, work hard, lend a helping hand, and make others feel seen and valued.
Congratulations to Delanie, Analy, and Emiliano for earning this special recognition! 🐉✨
We would also like to congratulate all of our students who earned Honor Roll recognition. Your dedication and perseverance throughout the school year have not gone unnoticed. 📚⭐
We are so proud of all of our Dragons and the positive impact they make on our school community each day.
And just like that, our next school-wide Mass will be Graduation Mass. 🎓💙 Where has the time gone?

Day 2 of 8th Grade Fun Week took us to the 🦁 Lincoln Park Zoo 🌿✨
Our students got to see the lions being fed, explore the zoo, visit the Lincoln Park Conservatory, check out all the beautiful plants, enjoy lunch together, and spend the day making memories around the city. 🐒🌱🐢
And thanks to our architectural boat tour the day before, we learned that Chicago bridges sometimes lift for sailboats… and let’s just say we found that out the hard way on the ride back to San Miguel 😂🌉⛵
What a fun day full of adventure, laughs, and learning together. Stay tuned to see what 8th grade was up to on Day 3! 💙🐉

¡El Día 2 de la Semana Divertida de 8.º grado nos llevó al 🦁 Lincoln Park Zoo 🌿✨
Nuestros estudiantes pudieron ver cómo alimentaban a los leones, recorrer el zoológico, visitar el Lincoln Park Conservatory, explorar todas las plantas hermosas, disfrutar del almuerzo juntos y pasar el día creando recuerdos por toda la ciudad. 🐒🌱🐢
Y gracias al tour arquitectónico del día anterior, aprendimos que los puentes de Chicago a veces se levantan para dejar pasar veleros… y digamos que lo descubrimos de la manera difícil en el camino de regreso a San Miguel 😂🌉⛵

Today our 8th graders got the chance to explore their hometown! 🏙️✨
From spending time at The Bean 💞🥰 to cooling off with a little splash at Crown Fountain, and ending the day with an architectural boat tour through Chicago, our students got to experience the beauty of the city in a whole new way.
Sometimes the best adventures happen right in your own backyard. It was so special watching our students become tourists in their own city while building memories together. 🚌🗺️🏃‍♀️💨

Desde pasar tiempo en The Bean 💞🥰 hasta refrescarse un poco cerca del parque ‘Crown Fountain’ y terminar el día con un tour arquitectónico por Chicago, nuestros estudiantes pudieron conocer la belleza de la ciudad desde una nueva perspectiva.
A veces las mejores aventuras suceden en nuestra propia ciudad. Fue muy especial ver a nuestros estudiantes disfrutar y crear recuerdos juntos mientras se convertían en turistas por un día. 🚌🗺️🏃‍♀️💨
