In partnership with UIC John Marshall OUTLaw and UIC Law Restorative Justice Initiative we will be hosting a peace circle in honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR). TDOR is observed annually on November 20th to memorialize those who were murdered due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. Join us on November 10th for a poetry reading and a peace circle to remember and honor trans lives. Looking for your next class to take? Take the Restorative Justice course! It is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the concept of restorative justice and is unlike any other law school class. You will not only have the opportunity to hear from weekly guest speakers, but will also be able to participate in field work that will give you more exposure to how the concept of restorative justice is applied in a school setting. Students are also now able to earn up to 15 hours in Experiential Education, with no maximum allocated to just Externships. This class counts as 1 credit towards your Externship requirement!
