The holidays can be stressful for some, and this season is bringing on new and different levels of stress as we experience this season during the pandemic. This session will explore tips for self-care and dealing with anxiety for students during the holiday season.

The 2020 Election is bringing a new level of stress and anxiety for students. This session will explore tips for self-care and dealing with anxiety for students as the election draws near.

SGA’s Civic Engagement & Social Action Series will feature the opportunity for students to learn about how they can engage in important issues that affect the world around them. This series will connect a student interviewer with DePaul students, faculty/staff, alumni, and campus partners. This series will begin the week of September 1 and will occur weekly until the election. Each session will end with a reminder for students to register to vote utilizing TurboVote.

In the series, DePaul SGA President Alyssa Isberto and other members of SGA’s cabinet will interview various individuals to learn about how they became civically engaged. The interviews will be designed to last 15-30 minutes and will be streamed to DePaul’s Student Government Association page.

This event will be starting at 5pm this week instead of 5:30pm.

This fall, we know that student organization involvement will look quite different than when we started the last school year. In order to assist our student leaders in ensuring they have the skillsets they need to be successful as they head into their student leadership positions in 2020, DePaul's Office of Student Involvement has partnered with a number of institutions around the country to offer the Virtual Engagement for Student Organizations Series. While our virtual quarter has changed how our organization meetings, one thing that hasn't changed is our appreciation for our graduating seniors. Congrats to the class of 2020 and thank you for all you have done from SGA and DePaul!
